Weekly news 26th November 2012

It’s been a busy couple of weeks at goHenry with more great coverage this weekend from The Independent who rated it as the best online money management tool for children. Fantastic endorsement for how we’ve designed our tools and graphics, so if you haven’t yet signed up, check it out and let us know whether you and your children agree.

Asides from our news, we were delighted to read on Channel 4 News that 16,000 computers used in the Olympic Games are to be distributed to schools, charities and children across the country. LOCOG, the London Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games, will be passing on the hardware they leased over the summer. It’s set to dramatically improve access to latest technology for so many groups.

We see digital inclusion as one of the greatest challenges for UK society today. More has to be done to ensure every child has the same access to technology. If we do this, then we will support children to flourish in the digital world they’ll grow into.
