There are a few different ways of topping up your goHenry account, and we’ve done our absolute best to keep it as simple and cost free for you as possible.
We’ve also made sure that you can make a top up from both the goHenry app, and our website, so wherever you are, and they are, you always have access to the account and can rest assured that we’re here to help you save the day.
Auto Top Up
An instant way of putting money into your goHenry account, perfect for any urgent situations. There is a charge of 50p per debit card load, so if you’re not in a rush to get money over, we do have a couple of free alternatives. You can top up on the app by;
If you open the app and it shows your balance etc before signing in, then you can simply click “top up”, and it will ask you for the amount and for your PIN again. (this is the pin you use to log in to your parent account). Click on “top up now” and the money will go straight into your parent account. Otherwise, if you’re signed in to the app, then again on the main page it will say “top up” and just follow the same instructions.
On the website it’s even easier - just log in to your parent account as normal, and on the screen you will see the option to top up. It will again ask you for the amount and then just check the correct card is registered and click “make payment”.
A one of payment from your personal bank to the goHenry parent account. It’s completely free of charge but can take a couple of working days to reach your account.
It’s easy to do - all you need is the account number and sort code associated with your goHenry account. Then take the details to your bank (or online banking if you have it) and set up the payment as you would any other bank transfer.
If you are on the app, you can retrieve your account details by logging in, and clicking on the “manage” cog at the bottom of the screen. This will then show you three options - the first of which being “By bank transfer or standing order”. Click “see how” and a pop up box will appear showing you the account name, number and sort code that you need to give to your bank.
If you would prefer to access this via the website, simply log in to your parent account, and click on “Account” at the top of the page. You will see the first of three options “By bank transfer or standing order”, and if you click on this then the information will drop down and you can get the account details.
Again, straight from your bank to the parent account, also free of charge. Totally convenient once you've set it up. You can even arrange for it to cover the cost of membership fee’s as well so you don’t even need to think about it.
To set this up, you do the same as with a standard bank transfer, however decide with your bank how often you want to set it for. Remember, you could also set up enough to go over to make sure that the standing order covers your monthly membership fee’s as well.
Convenient, you don't have to remember to have enough money for pocket money day. Auto-top up will take care of it for you. Any time your balance falls below £5, Auto top up will kick in and automatically debit the necessary amount to keep the account running smoothly from your debit card. You can load larger amounts and still only pay the 50p charge once.
To set this up if you are on the app, you can enable it by logging in, and clicking on the “manage” cog at the bottom of the screen. This will then show you three options - the the one in the middle being “by auto top-up”. Click “edit” and a pop up box will appear asking you to set a default amount to top up automatically. Click “Turn on” and it’s set up and ready to go,
If you would prefer to access this via the website, simply log in to your parent account, and click on “Account” at the top of the page. Then select the middle option “By auto top-up” and the drop down information will show. You can then switch the slider button from off to on, and change how much you would like to top up by clicking on the “Change auto top-up details” button.
